NORFOLK, VA –Norfolk’s Purchasing Division and the Department of Economic Development are connecting vendors directly with the departments in need of services and supplies. The Doing Business with the City of Norfolk
Vendor Fair will be held on Friday, March 29, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Slover Library, 235 E. Plume Street.
During this reverse-style vendor fair, representatives from city departments will be on hand to connect with local vendors who sell goods and services that the departments might need. Departments will have purchase information available so both current and potential vendors can make informed decisions and discuss the needs for each department.
Additionally, vendors will have the opportunity to attend sessions on how to get engaged with the city for larger purchases and how to get on the vendor list. There will be staff available to answer questions for current vendors, those who are new to doing business with the City and those who are considering starting a business that could serve the city.
The event is free and all are invited. While you can simply walk-in the day of the event, vendors are encouraged to register
here in advance.
