[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police identify man killed following shooting on E. Virginia Beach Boulevard

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives are continuing to investigate Thursday night’s homicide on E. Virginia Beach Boulevard.

Around 9:30 p.m. on June 24, 2021, police responded to the 700 block of E. Virginia Beach Boulevard for the report of a gunshot victim. When officers arrived, they located a 46-year-old man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

The man, Derrick D. Roundtree, 46, of Norfolk, was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Detectives have not released a motive or suspect information surrounding this incident.
