NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Police are continuing to investigate a crash that left a 67-year-old man dead.
Around 8:45 p.m. on February 8, 2024, police responded to the 100 block of S Newtown Road for the report of a pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries. The man, identified as John H. Rabon III, 67, of Virginia Beach, was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The driver involved remained on the scene.
This crash investigation is being handled by the Norfolk Police Departments Traffic Fatality Unit.
