NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Norfolk has ruled an undetermined death investigation to be a homicide.
On June 30, 2024, around 11:55 p.m., police were called to Commonwealth Senior Living located at 890 Poplar Hall Drive for the report of an unresponsive patient. When first responders arrived, the unresponsive woman, later identified as Cleo A. Loizides, 81, of Norfolk, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Following the Medical Examiner’s ruling on June 9, 2024, Detectives have charged Heather A. Cummings, 53, of Hobart, Indiana, and Clifton L. Cummings, 24, of Norfolk, with second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Both are currently being held at the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
