[ARCHIVED] Motorcyclist dies in crash on Granby Street

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Police are continuing to investigate a crash that left a motorcyclist dead early Sunday morning.

Around 5:10 a.m., on July 28th, first responders were called to the 7200 block of Granby Street for the report of a serious crash involving a motorcycle and a car. When Officers arrived, they found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries.

The man was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity will be released once a next of kin has been notified.  

The preliminary investigation determined the motorcycle was traveling southbound on Granby Street when it collided with a sedan making a turn; however, the investigation is ongoing. 

The driver of the car involved was not injured during the crash and remained at the scene.
