    • Well music has always been the soundtrack to my life. A song from various times can trigger a memory very dear to me. Jackson 5 Motown Christmas Album brings me back to the time I was a kid growing up in Baltimore and all of my siblings and cousins would run around my Aunt’s house and not have a care in the world. Sugar Hill Gang Rappers Delight reminds me of the early stages of rap and how I learned to pop and breakdance and the bboy culture. Words like Fresh and Dope and scratching on turntables were uncharted waters and got the chance to see it grow which is amazing. Music is also my escapism from the world as a Beatmaker/DJ as well. So to love it and be able to create it keeps me going through all of life’s curveballs as well as the blessings.

    • I can honestly say that music to me is more than just rhythmatic noises. My family comes from a long line of musicians starting with my Great Grandfather and my grandpa and then my dad. As a child I loved playing in the band at school and then as I perfected  my craft I played in church as well. So the connection to the tunes always put me in a place of peace.

I have played percussioin and the flute all the way over to orchestra, playing the violin from middle school all the way to high school. Music has its ways of making a point get across without saying a word and if that’s not powerful enough, man I don’t know what is. I go to music when im in need of noise therapy and I cant talk to anyone. I can remember when I was young my mom used to play music through out the house early in the morning to set the mood and it made for a better day at school. I have enjoyed being a part of a group, where what we do has reached the souls of others through what we love to do as a whole through music, no matter the background it reaches us all in a special way and im glad and proud to say that I have blessed many ears with what brings me peace and joy through my music.  I don’t play an instrument anymore but my nieces and my daughters have embarked in the music industry through orchestra and chorus, and im very proud of them all.
