NORFOLK, Va. – The Slover will mark its 10th anniversary with a weekend of festivities commemorating the building’s history and contributions to the community.
The celebration kicks off on Friday, Jan. 10, with guided tours showcasing the facility’s history and offerings to the public. Tours will run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., giving visitors a unique opportunity to explore the story behind one of the City of Norfolk’s iconic landmarks.
On Saturday, Jan. 11, the Downtown Branch at Slover will host a variety of engaging, family-friendly activities from noon to 4 p.m. The highlights include crafts, balloon animals, fairy hair tinsel, a captivating magic show, princess story time, birthday bingo and more. All events are free and open to the public.
Visitors are also invited to explore the Creative Studios for a make-and-take workshop and to stop by the Hendrix Business Center for professional headshots.
