[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police investigating fatal crash on E Little Creek Road

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives are continuing to investigate a serious crash over the weekend that left two people dead, and a third injured. 

Around 3:00 a.m., on January 12th first responders were called to the 300 block of E Little Creek Road for the report of a single-vehicle accident with injuries. When Officers arrived, they found a car had hit a tree and the driver of the car and two passengers were suffering from life-threatening injuries.

One of the passengers, identified as Dalila I. Villanueva Calderon, 32, of Norfolk, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver, identified as Justino R. Balladares Diaz, 25, of Norfolk, was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries where he was later pronounced deceased. 

A second passenger, a 21-year-old woman, was also taken to the hospital and is expected to recover from her injuries.  

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Norfolk Police Department’s Detective Division and Traffic Fatality Team.
