[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police make arrest in connection with deadly hit-and-run investigation

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives have charged a man in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a motorcyclist dead. 

On December 1, 2024, around 1:45 a.m. police were called to the 1100 block of E. Little Creek Road for the report of a crash involving a motorcycle. When Officers arrived, they found the motorcyclist suffering from life-threatening injuries. 

The man, identified as Zachary T. Schonborn,23, of Newport News, was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The driver was no longer at the scene of the crash when Officers arrived. 

As a result of the investigation, Juansun A. Bolden, 38, has been charged with hit-and-run fatality. 

Bolden is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond.
