NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives have arrested a second person in connection with a homicide investigation.
On August 16th, around 11:50 p.m. police were called to the 5100 block of E Virginia Beach Boulevard for the report of a gunshot victim. When Officers arrived, they found John E. Daughtry III, 18, of Norfolk, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Daughtry was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
As a result of this investigation, detectives have charged Kevin J. Walker Jr., 18, of Virginia Beach, with second-degree murder, robbery, conspiracy, and two counts of use of a firearm.
Walker Jr. was arrested in the City of Virginia Beach on January 29th by Norfolk Police.
He is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond.
Detectives have also arrested and charged, Nasir E. Parker, 21, of Norfolk, in connection with this investigation.
Parker was taken into police custody on December 19th and taken to Norfolk City Jail.
