Norfolk is working alongside AskHRGreen.org and five other Hampton Roads community to enhance curbside recycling through the Feet on the Street Recycling Study.

Here is what you can expect!!
Contractor surveyors in safety vests and who have ID's will walk recycling routes, lift blue bin lids, and check contents. If items are improperly placed, an 'Oops Sticker' will be placed on the cart.
Oops Sticker System:
Orange Oops Sticker: First-time offenders will receive a sticker listing incorrect items. The cart will be emptied unless it is too contaminated.
Red Oops sticker: If contamination persists, the cart will be turned away, meaning the recycling hauler will not empty it. Residents must remove contaminants and wait for the next pickup date.
