NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Police are continuing to investigate the crash on Granby Street that left one man dead, and two others injured.
On April 6th around 5:25 p.m., officers responded to the 6100 block of Granby Street for the report of a serious crash with injuries. When first responders arrived, they found two men suffering from life-threatening injuries, and one suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver, identified as Andrew M. Swecker,41, of Norfolk, was taken to the hospital where he later died on April 19th from his life-threatening injuries.
Both passengers in the car were taken to the hospital and are expected to recover from their injuries.
The preliminary investigation determined that the driver hit a curb and lost control of the vehicle.
