NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) - Detectives are continuing to investigate a shooting that left one man dead and another injured.
On June 27th, around 11:10 p.m., Officers responded to 8475 Chesapeake Boulevard for the report of a gunshot victim. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
The man was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
Soon after, Officers were notified of a second man who had arrived at Sentara Leigh Hospital suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
The man, identified as Charles S. Lawton, 24, of Norfolk, was pronounced deceased from his injuries at the hospital shortly after his arrival.
Detectives determined the two incidents to be related.
