NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Police have charged a 20-year-old man following a shooting on Fenner Street that left a 15-year-old injured.
On November 10th around 7:15 p.m. police responded to the 7400 block of Fenner Street for the report of a gunshot victim. When Officers arrived, they found a 15-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the foot.
The teenager was taken to a hospital to receive medical treatment for his injury.
During their investigation, detectives learned a 20-year-old man had arrived at Sentara Leigh Memorial suffering from a gunshot wound on November 10th around 7:30 p.m. The man reported being shot in the City of Virginia Beach; however, the investigation determined the man’s injuries were related to this incident.
Detectives have charged Diauntae M. Hines, 20, of Suffolk, with use of a firearm, and robbery. Additional charges are pending the outcome of this ongoing investigation.
Hines currently remains hospitalized and will be taken to Norfolk City Jail once he is released.
