[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police Investigate an Attempted Home Invasion

Norfolk Police and Fire Rescue responded and discovered one adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with what appears to be, at this time, a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Victim stated to police that several black male suspects approached him, while he was outside of the home, and they attempted to force their way into the residence. After the unsuccessful attempt, the suspects shot the victim, and then fled the scene. There is no other descriptions given to police regarding the suspects.
