UPDATE 08/19/2014:
On 08/09/2014, a woman contacted Norfolk Police Detectives and stated that on 07/29/2014 around 11:00 A.M., she was sexually assaulted by a male suspect in the 2100 block of Hampton Blvd. The victim described the suspect as a white male, in his mid to late 20’s, approximately 5’6” – 5’8”, medium build, with bushy sandy brown or blonde hair, and bushy facial hair (especially in the goatee area). The suspect was wearing a New England Patriots football jersey. The victim stated she was jogging in the 2100 block of Hampton Blvd, near the railroad overpass, when the suspect grabbed her and sexually assaulted her. The victim was able to fend off her attacker, and she ran away. The victim did not require medical attention.
On 08/10/2014, at approximately 7:30 P.M., a woman was sexually assaulted at the intersection of York Street and Brambleton Ave. The victim described the suspect as a white male, in his mid to late 20’s, approximately 5’6” – 5’8”, medium build, with bushy sandy brown or blonde hair, and bushy facial hair (especially in the goatee area). The suspect was wearing a blue and green horizontal stripe shirt, with skinny blue jeans. The victim stated she walking with her dog and was approached by the suspect who asked if he could pet the dog. As he approached, he grabbed her and sexually assaulted her. The victim was able to fend off her attacker, and he ran away. The victim did not require medical attention.
Investigations are ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information to contact the crime line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP (1-888-562-5887). Any information that leads to an arrest can earn a reward of up to $1,000.

NPD seeking assistance in locating a Sexual Assault Suspect.
On 08/08/2014 at approximately 8:30 a.m. a female pedestrian was sexually assaulted near the intersection of Colley Ave. and Brambleton Ave. The victim was approached by a white male with a medium build who is in his mid to late 20's and stands approximately 5'6" to 5'8". This subject was described as having bushy sandy brown or blond hair and a bushy beard and wearing a royal blue track suit with white stripes. The suspect sexually assaulted the victim before she was able to fend him off. As the victim fled the scene of the first assault, this same suspect assaulted the victim again in the vicinity of the train over pass in the 2100 block of Hampton Blvd. As the victim screamed for assistance the suspect fled in the direction of the 900 block of 21st Street. The investigation is ongoing and police ask anyone with information on this suspect or who observes any suspicious activity in the area to contact the Norfolk Police Department.
