[ARCHIVED] NPD Investigates an Overnight Shooting

On 08/24/2014, around 9:35 P.M., a call was received in the Emergency Communications Center for a gunshot disturbance outside of 2313 Tidewater Drive. Norfolk Police and Fire Rescue responded and discovered one 14-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect has been described as a black male with a medium complexion, approximately 5’6”, goatee, wearing a black fitted style baseball hat, and a white t-shirt.

Anyone who may have information about this crime, they are encouraged to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP (1-888-562-5887). Any information that leads to an arrest can earn a reward of up to $1,000.
