[ARCHIVED] Police Make an Arrest in an Individual Robbery

On September 9th 2014, approximately 7:30 a.m., a call was received in the Emergency Communications Center for a robbery to an individual that just occurred in the 100 block of W. 28th Street. The victim, a 50-year-old man, stated that a black male approached him, displayed a gun while demanding money, and then fired a shot at the victim. Responding officers observed the suspect a few blocks away from the robbery and immediately took him into custody. The suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Mark W. Walker of the 1000 block of Auburn Avenue. The victim was not injured during the robbery.

Mark Walker has been charged with:
• Robbery
• Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony
• Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
• Brandishing a Firearm
• Discharging a Firearm in a Public Place
