On September 16, 2014 at 1:00 p.m., Norfolk Emergency Communications Center received a call regarding a possible gunshot victim in the 2500 block of Cromwell Drive. Norfolk Police and Fire Rescue responded to the scene and discovered an adult male suffering from an injury consistent to a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Norfolk Detective Division is currently handling the investigation, and is categorizing the incident as an “undetermined death.” The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the exact cause of death, and the victim’s information will not be released until next of kin is properly notified.
