[ARCHIVED] Attempted Individual Robbery Investigation

On September 17th, 2014, around 4:00 am, police were called to the 400 block of Monticello Avenue for an attempted robbery not in progress. The adult male victim stated he called a cab fare. Once the victim entered the cab, the driver locked all the doors and attempted to rob him. The victim was able to get out of the vehicle and notified police as the suspect sped away from the scene. The suspect has been described as a black male, in his mid to late 40’s. The name of the cab company is not being released at this time as Detectives are currently investigating incident.
