[ARCHIVED] Truck Runs Into Norfolk Home

Norfolk Police and Fire Rescue were called to the scene of a single vehicle accident shortly before 10:00 am this morning. A Dodge pick-up truck was traveling northbound on Azalea Garden Road when the driver, a middle-aged man, had an apparent medical emergency. The truck then veered off the roadway, striking a residence in the 7000 block of Azalea Garden Road. Residents were inside the home when the accident occurred, but no injuries were reported. Norfolk Fire Rescue transported the driver to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with what appears to be non-life threatening injuries. Police are still investigating the accident, and currently, no charges have been filed against the driver.
