[ARCHIVED] NPD Investigating a Motor Vehicle Accident Involving a Train


This morning around 8:45, Norfolk Police and Fire Rescue responded to an accident involving a train versus a car in the 1500 block Pritchard Street, just south of Miller Store Road. A 4-door Cadillac was traveling southbound on Pritchard Street attempting to cross the railroad tracks, when a Bay Coast Railroad Train, that was traveling eastbound, collided with the vehicle. The man driving the Cadillac was treated on the scene for non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported. NPD is currently investigating this accident. No charges have been filed.
