Previous Release:
Early this morning, around 3:15 am, police were called to the 7-11 parking lot located at Park Avenue and Brambleton Avenue for a shooting. Once police arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, identified as an NSU student, was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with what appears to be a non-life threatening injury. Police were advised that the victim and another NSU student were sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot of 7-11, when two black males approached their car and displayed a gun. The suspects took personal property and money from the victims. The suspects then shot the first victim and assaulted the second man before fleeing from the area.
