[ARCHIVED] Police Investigate Shooting Incident

Norfolk Police responded to the 6200 block of Alexander Street shortly after 2:30 this afternoon for a reported gunshot victim. Upon arrival, officers located a man with an injury consistent with a gunshot wound. At this time, the man’s injuries appear to be non-life threatening. The Special Operations Team responded to the scene to assist in clearing a nearby residence shortly after the shooting took place. The residence was cleared without incident and Detectives are now actively investigating this case. Police have not released any suspect information at this time, and encourage anyone with any information to contact the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP (1-888-562-5887). Any information that leads to an arrest can earn a reward of up to $1,000.
