Updated release: Police have identified the woman in the undetermined death as 26-year-old Keshina Linette of the 800 block of B avenue. Norfolk detectives are still classifying the incident as an undetermined death, as the investigation is on going.
Previous release: Shortly before 4:30 this evening, police responded to the 800 block of B Avenue for a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, police discovered a 26-year-old woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The woman was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Detectives are actively investigating the incident and are currently classifying it as an undetermined death. The woman’s identity will not be released until proper next of kin notification.
