[ARCHIVED] Victim Shot During Home Invasion

Shortly after 12 a.m. this morning, 911 dispatchers received a call for a possible home invasion, and a man shot in the 6100 block of Pamlico Circle.

Upon arrival, police found a 23-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The man was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with what appears to be non-life threatening injuries.

Norfolk Detectives preliminary investigation revealed that two unidentified men forcibly entered the home displaying guns. The 23-year-old victim heard the commotion, went downstairs to investigate and was shot by one of the suspects. The suspects fled the home prior to police arrival.
