Update 02/24/2015 2:00 P.M.: The Norfolk Police Homicide Unit has identified the suspect in 15-year-old Jacquil Harris’s homicide.
Shortly before 1:00 P.M. this afternoon, the Norfolk Police Fugitive Squad, along with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force located and arrested 18-year-old Michael Johnson of Norfolk.
Johnson was taken into custody in the 900 block of Goff Street without incident.
Johnson is being charged with 2nd Degree Murder, and Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony.
Johnson’s photo will not be available until he is processed and booked.
Update 02/24/2015 11:00 A.M.: Norfolk Detectives have identified the victim of last night’s homicide as 15-year-old Jacquil Harris of the 1100 block of Chapel Street.

Initial Release 02/24/2015 2:00 A.M.: Shortly before midnight on February 23rd, a 9-1-1 caller reported a gunshot victim in the 800 block of Wilson Road.
When police arrived, they found a male suffering from a gunshot wound.
The male died at the scene. The identity of the male will be withheld until proper next of kin notification.
