The victim has been identified as 44-year-old Ralph Hart of Marrero, Louisiana.

Detectives continue to investigate this incident, and are encouraging anyone who may have seen anything to contact the Norfolk Auto Squad Division at (757) 664-7036, or the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.

The preliminary investigation into this morning’s death investigation has revealed that the 44-year-old man may have been struck by a car.

Detectives continue to investigate this incident, and are encouraging anyone who may have seen anything to contact the Norfolk Auto Squad Division at (757) 664-7036, or the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.


Initial Release:
Shortly after 8:00 A.M., a 9-1-1 caller reported an injured man at the Double Tree Hotel located at 1500 N. Military Highway.

When police arrived, they found an unconscious 44-year-old man in the parking lot.

The man was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he later died.

Norfolk Detectives are classifying this incident as an undetermined death, and the investigation is currently on going.

The identity of the man will be withheld until next of kin notification. Police are asking anyone with any information to contact the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
