Norfolk Police are actively investigating three, early-morning armed robberies.
Shortly after 3 am on May 7, 2015, police responded to W. 24th Street and Colonial Avenue for a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. The man told police that while he was walking near the intersection a dark –colored SUV pulled up, two men exited the vehicle, displayed guns, and demanded personal property. The man complied, and the suspects fled prior to police arrival. The man was not injured during the robbery.
A short time later in the 100 block of W. 21st Street around 3:10 am, another man called police and stated that he was just approached by a dark-colored SUV. The man stated two suspects armed with guns exited the car and demanded money from him. The man quickly ran away without giving the suspects any of his personal property. The suspects then fled the area in the same vehicle.
About 10 minutes later, at 3:20 am, police received another call for an individual robbery that just occurred in the 1000 block of W. 39th Street. Two men, who are not ODU students, told police that they were standing near their vehicle when a dark-colored SUV pulled up. Two men exited the SUV, displayed guns, and demanded personal property. The two victims complied, and the suspects fled prior to police arrival. The victims were not injured during the robbery.
In all three robberies the three suspects are described as:
Suspect 1: Light skinned black man, 5’6” – 6’0”, 20-22 years old, thin build, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, and jogging pants
Suspect 2: Dark skinned black man, 5’8”-5’10”, 190-200 pounds, wearing a jacket with an “8 ball” design on the back
Suspect 3 (Driver): Black man, unknown description
