[ARCHIVED] Dog Charges Toward Officers During Execution of a Search Warrant

Shortly before 6:30 this morning Norfolk Police Special Operations Team and Vice and Narcotic Detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of West 28th Street.

As officers entered the home they were confronted by a large dog who charged aggressively toward them. One officer fired one shot at the charging dog. The dog quickly retreated back, unharmed.

At the completion of the search warrant, three people were detained for questioning. Firearms and narcotics were recovered inside the home.

There were no injuries reported.
