Updated Release # 2, June 29, 2015:
Norfolk Police Detectives have made two arrests in the June 26th shooting that left a VA Beach man dead, and one man injured.
31-year-old, Kendall H. Hines Jr., of the 200 block of Beazley Drive in Portsmouth, has been charged with one count each of:
• Second Degree Murder
• Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
• Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle
• Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony
21-year-old Edmond J. Johnson, of the 8600 block of Glen Myrtle Avenue, has been charged with one count each of:
• Malicious Wounding
• Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony
• Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling
Hines has been charged with the murder of Anthony L. Long, and Johnson has been charged with the shooting of the 34-year-old man who is currently listed in stable condition at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Both, Hines and Johnson, are held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.

Hospital officials have advised police that the 27-year-old VA Beach man, Anthony L. Long, who entered CHKD with a serious gunshot wound this morning has died.
Last night around 3:30 a.m. police were called to a gunshot disturbance in the area of the 800 block of West 36th Street. Inside a home at this location, there was a party with numerous people gathered.
During the party, an argument ensued, and multiple gunshots were heard.
Police do not know what started the argument, or do they have any suspect information at this time.
Detectives are actively investigating this incident and encourage anyone who may have information about this case to contact the Norfolk Crime Line at either:

Around 3:30 this morning police were called to the area of the 800 block of West 36th Street for numerous gunshots heard. Once police arrived, no gunshot victims were located.
At 3:35 a.m. a 34-year-old man entered Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with what appears to be, at this time, non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
At 3:40 a.m. a 20-year-old man entered Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters with what appears to be, at this time, a serious gunshot injury.
Both victims appear to have been shot in the area of the 800 block of West 36th Street, however, detectives are actively investigating this incident and encourage anyone who may have information about this case to contact the Norfolk Crime Line at either:
