[ARCHIVED] Investigation Active In Thursday Night Homicide

Shortly before 10:00 p.m., 9-1-1 dispatchers received multiple calls for shots being fired in the area of Fluvanna Street and Appomattox Street.

Upon arrival, police found a man in the 900 block of Appomattox Street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The man was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he later died. The identity of the man will not be released until proper next of kin notification is made.

Norfolk Homicide Detectives are actively investigating this incident and are encouraging anyone with any information to contact them at 664-7023, or the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
