The Norfolk Police Department is proud to announce Sgt. Craig Lovelace as the department’s official LGBTQ community liaison!
In order to foster and maintain the positive relationships between our LGBTQ community and the police department, a liaison position was created to enhance police services and support specific to the needs of gays, lesbians, and allied communities.
In addition to providing enhanced police support, the LGBTQ liaison works in partnership with various police divisions to conduct community outreach, education, recruitment, and involvement in other LGBTQ related issues.
