Norfolk Detectives have completed their preliminary investigation into the circumstances that led to a shooting in the 900 block of Galt Street yesterday evening.

The investigation has revealed that a 15-year-old young man displayed a gun and demanded money from a Chanellos pizza delivery driver.

During the incident, the delivery driver who had a gun, shot the young man.

Investigators have charged the 15-year-old with one count of Robbery, and one count of Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.

The suspect remains at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital under police watch and is expected to recover from his injuries.

No other information is available about this incident at this time.

Shortly before 9:30 p.m., 9-1-1 dispatchers received a call for a gunshot victim in the 900 block of Galt Street.

Upon arrival, police found a victim at the intersection of Galt Street and Barre Street.

He was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Norfolk Detectives are actively investigating this incident but are not looking for any suspects.
