[ARCHIVED] Today at 10am- NPD to announce new Desk Officer Reporting System

The Norfolk Police Department is proud to announce our partnership with LexisNexis Risk Solutions in the development of the Desk Officer Reporting System. The system allows for quick and efficient online reporting that interfaces with the department’s existing systems, and provides many additional benefits for both the community and police department.

We will provide the formal release today and welcome you all to join us for the announcement. Monday’s release will include an opening remark from Assistant Chief Eddie Ryan and a personal demonstration of the system by our project manager. In addition to the Public Information Office, two members of the LexisNexis development and PR team will be present as subject matter experts for any questions.

Most interestingly, the Norfolk Police Department is the only police agency on the East Coast to have a certain user-friendly feature, and the ONLY agency in the NATION to have a new component of this program. Find out what those features are today at 10:00 a.m.

Space is available for all media personnel and interested community members.

Date: Today, Monday, September 28, 2015
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Location: Third Patrol Division- Community Room (901 Asbury Avenue)

Contact the Public Information Office for any questions: npdpio@norfolk.gov
