[ARCHIVED] 1 dead, 2 injured in overnight shooting on Killam Avenue

Norfolk, Va – A shooting in Norfolk late Friday evening at a party has left one man dead, and two women injured.

Shortly before 11:45 pm police received reports of several gunshots heard in the area of 37th Street and Killam Avenue.

Once police arrived, they found a man lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s age and identity are not known at this time.

Once the next of kin notification process is completed, his identity will be released.

Two women were also found at the scene with gunshot wounds. Both were transported by paramedics to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
