[ARCHIVED] Purse-snatcher sought by police

The individual circled in the photograph is wanted for a robbery that occurred on October 5, 2015 shortly after 7:45 p.m. at the Shop-N-Go store located at 1722 Church Street.

Detectives have determined the suspect in the photograph approached a 40-year-old woman outside the Shop-N-Go store and grabbed her purse. Although the woman attempted to fight back, the purse strap was broken and the man was able to run away from the area with the woman's belongings.

The suspect is known to frequent the Shop-N-Go store and the Huntersville neighborhood. He has been described as a black male, approximately 5'5"-5'6" in height, weighing 150-160 pounds.
