[ARCHIVED] Woman shot, hospitalized in serious condition

Norfolk detectives continue to investigate an early-morning shooting that has left one woman hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Shortly after 3:00 a.m., Norfolk police responded to a call for shots being fired in the 400 block of Mariner’s Way. Once officers arrived on scene, they located a 33-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics immediately transported the woman to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where she remains in serious condition.
