[ARCHIVED] Woman shot, hospitalized in serious condition

Norfolk detectives continue to investigate an early-morning shooting that has left one woman hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Shortly after 3:00 a.m., Norfolk police responded to a call for shots being fired in the 400 block of Mariner’s Way. Once officers arrived on scene, they located a 33-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics immediately transported the woman to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where she remains in serious condition.

Detectives have not released any suspect description and encourage the public to provide any information that may develop more leads in the case. Anyone with any information about this shooting should contact the Norfolk Crime Line at:
