[ARCHIVED] Police investigating fatal stabbing in Norfolk

Norfolk, Va. – Detectives are investigating a stabbing that left a man dead Tuesday afternoon in the Ocean Air section of Norfolk.

Police received reports of an assault in progress in the 500 block of Farrell Street around 3:30 p.m. today.

When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive man suffering from multiple stab wounds in a parking lot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives have not determined if this fatal stabbing is connected to the shooting that occurred a block away last Sunday which left a woman with critical injuries.
