[ARCHIVED] Two arrested after firing a gun into a house party

Two men were arrested early Sunday morning after a police officer saw a man shooting a gun into an apartment building in the Lamberts Point section of Norfolk.

Shortly after 1:00 a.m. on November 15, 2015, Norfolk police officers were patrolling in the 3900 block of Bowdens Ferry Road and saw two men outside firing a gun into a crowded residence.

Both men then led the officers on a brief foot pursuit before they were arrested without incident.

There were no injuries reported.

21-year-old Rhashon K. Barkely of the 9200 block of Sloane Street, has been charged with one count each of shooting into an occupied dwelling, resisting arrest, felony distribution of drugs, and felony possession of drugs.

23-year-old Timothy Mujsce of the 2000 block on Kingston Avenue, has been charged with one count each of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, brandishing a firearm, and obstruction of justice.

Both men are currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.
