A Norfolk man is recovering at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital this morning after being shot last night during a robbery.
Shortly after 7:00 pm, the 51-year-old man arrived at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The man told detectives that while he was outside in the 1400 block of W. 39th Street, two armed black men in their early twenties, wearing dark clothing approached him and demanded personal property.
The man stated that as he attempted to run from the robbers, he was shot.
Once police arrived in the area of the 1400 block of W. 39th Street, they were unable to locate the suspects.
