[ARCHIVED] Man shot during a robbery on Briar Hill Road

NORFOLK, Va – Detectives in Norfolk are seeking information in a robbery that led to man being shot on Briar Hill Road.

Around 9:45 pm last night, police responded to the 900 block of Briar Hill Road for reports of gunshots heard.

When police arrived, they found a 24-year-old man who had been shot. He was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries where he is expected to recover.

The man told police that while he was walking home an armed black man wearing all dark clothing approached him, and demanded personal property.

The man stated that during the robbery, the robber shot him.

Police searched the area, however they were unable to locate the suspect.
