NORFOLK, Va – A 46-year-old woman is in jail today after a shooting on Chesapeake Street late last night.
Shortly before 2:00 am, police received several reports of a shooting that happened in the parking lot of Captain Ron’s Bar located at 9300 Chesapeake Street.
When police arrived they found a 43-year-old man suffering from a serious gunshot wound. Paramedics rushed him to the hospital for treatment. He is currently stable at this time.
Witnesses to the shooting detained the woman until police arrived.
Rubi M. Kugelman of the 600 block of E. Leicester Avenue has been charged with one count each of malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
She is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond. Her booking photo will be available upon completion of the booking process.
