[ARCHIVED] Gas station robber flees in waiting car

NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk police are searching for the man wanted in connection to a commercial robbery that occurred on December 22, 2015.

Shortly after 10:00 p.m., police responded to the Shell Gas Station located at 3502 E. Princess Anne Road for reports of a possible robbery. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival, but video surveillance captured the man's escape.

Police say a man entered the gas station and brandished a handgun. The victim was forced to open the cash register as the suspect took money from the till. The man was last seen running northbound in the 1500 block of Wyoming Avenue to an awaiting car.

The suspect has been described as the following:

(1) Black male, 6'0 - 6'2", 200-215lbs, wearing a blue hooded-sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes. The man's face was covered with a black bandana with white designs.
