NORFOLK, Va. – Two men shot, one died; Detectives confirm both incidents are related.
Shortly before 11:00 p.m. late Monday night, police were called to the 2600 block of Waverly Way for a report of a 27-year-old man who had been shot. He was quickly taken by medics to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
While officers were on-scene at Waverly Way, a 26-year-old man arrived at DePaul Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transferred to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, with what appears to be, at this time, non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives has confirmed that both incidents are related, however are still investigating to determine what led up to both men being shot.

Once the next of kin notification process has been completed, the identity of man who died will be released.
No charges have been filled in this case at this time.

Once police arrived, they found the man inside a residence suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly taken by medics to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with a life threatening injury.
While officers were on-scene at Waverly Way, a man arrived at DePaul Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transferred to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, with what appears to be, at this time, non-life threatening injuries.
