Norfolk, Va. – Detectives have confirmed the identity of the man who died after being found shot on Waverly Way as 27-year-old Christopher Allen of the 1100 block of Jernigan Avenue.

Two men shot, one died; Detectives confirm both incidents are related.
Shortly before 11:00 p.m. late Monday night, police were called to the 2600 block of Waverly Way for a report of a 27-year-old man who had been shot. He was quickly taken by medics to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
While officers were on-scene at Waverly Way, a 26-year-old man arrived at DePaul Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transferred to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, with what appears to be, at this time, non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives have confirmed that both incidents are related, however are still investigating to determine what led up to both men being shot.
