[ARCHIVED] Man dies at hospital after police find him unconscious in a parking lot

NORFOLK, Va. – An undetermined death investigation has begun in Norfolk after police found a man lying in a parking lot unconscious.

Around 2:45 Wednesday morning police were called to the parking lot behind Walmart located at 1170 N. Military Highway for a man lying on the ground unconscious and not breathing.

The 55-year-old man was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause of death.
