NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk police are investigating armed robberies Wednesday night at three 7-Eleven stores.
The first armed robbery was reported at 8:44 p.m. at the 7-Eleven located at 1230 Redgate Avenue.
The second armed robbery occurred 25 minutes later at 9:07 p.m. at the 7-Eleven located at 1115 Colonial Avenue.
The third armed robbery occurred 9:56 p.m. at the 7-Eleven located at 8489 Chesapeake Blvd, which was the same 7-Eleven that was robbed early Wednesday morning.
In the first two robberies a man entered the store armed with a gun and demanded money from the clerks. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled prior to police arrival.
In the third robbery, the man entered the store and quickly ran out before receiving any cash.
The suspect in the first two robberies has been described as a black man in his mid to late twenties, around 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants, black gloves, black mask and carrying a black backpack.
The suspect in the third robbery has been described as a black man around 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants, and a black and white bandana covering his face. He was also seen carrying a black backpack.
In all three robberies no injuries were reported.
Detectives have not confirmed if any of these robberies are related, or if these robberies are related to the 7-Eleven robbery that occurred around 2 a.m. Wednesday morning.
