NORFOLK, Va. – A fatal shooting in the Huntersville section of Norfolk Sunday morning prompts a homicide investigation.
Shortly after 10 a.m. police received several calls for gunshots heard in the area of Anderson Street and Taggart Street.
When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds laying on the ground out front of a residence in the 1000 block of Anderson Street. The 21-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s name will not be released until his next of kin has been notified.
At this time, police have not released any suspect information, as the investigation is ongoing.
