[ARCHIVED] Domestic dispute leads to shocking discovery

Norfolk, Va. - Following a domestic dispute early Sunday morning, police responded to the 700 block of W. 27th Street to serve an outstanding warrant.

After taking a man into custody, police were led to materials and items related to the manufacturing of methamphetamine inside the same residence.

Police evacuated the building for safety precautions, as Norfolk Fire-Rescue, Norfolk Fire Marshals and the Norfolk Police Department's Vice and Narcotics Division responded to the scene.

No injuries were reported and Norfolk police have taken the lead in this ongoing investigation.

The man originally wanted for the domestic assault, as well as his domestic partner, were taken into police custody following the meth lab's discovery. Charges are pending against the men as police continue to investigate the scene.

There is no further information available for release at this time.
